It gives me great pleasure today to address the Japanese Diet and meet with you, members of the House of Representatives and the House of Councilors. I would like to extend my cordial greetings and best wishes to you and to the Japanese people. In particular, I wish to express my heartfelt thanks and pay high tribute to the Japanese friends in various sectors for the longstanding and valuable contribution they have made to China-Japan friendship. This is my second visit to Japan. I paid my first visit to Japan 15 years ago. It was also in April when cherries were in full bloom. The goodwill of the Japanese people toward the Chinese people left a deep impression on me. Now, I am visiting Japan to learn more about the new progress Japan has made and, more importantly, contribute my share to improving and growing China's relations with Japan.

I was disappointed in that all the computers were old enough to not be useful yet not old enough to be "retro" classics. However I did get a good clean Microsoft USB Internet Keyboard Pro for five bucks and I found a nice long VGA cable for a single buck. .
Tips on being a better parent
Dallas firefighters put out a small apartment fire last week and found a 10-month-old child there alone. The 18-year-old mother said she had just gone out for something to eat. OK, I suspect most of us know that's not keen parenting. But it left me wondering if there are more subtle parenting blunders we might not recognize. So I brainstormed with Dawn Hallman of the Dallas Association for Parent Education. She came up with some child-rearing misconceptions she hears regularly: "You won't believe how smart my 4-year-old is. Ask him anything about the rain forest.
